What to pair Buttercream Frosting with?

We paired this icing with our Coconut Cake and it topped the cake off just perfectly. The good thing about buttercream is that it basically pairs with just about anything that needs frosting. And, it’s super simple to make with just a few key ingredients that you probably already have on hand in your pantry. This is a staple that must be in your go-to baking arsenal.

It pairs perfectly with my all time favorite cake: Red Velvet. You can also try the chocolate version of this frosting with a classic chocolate cake. You can find my Grandmother’s recipe for that right here.
