Hosting & entertaining guests extends beyond your home. Having recently been both in a new town as a guest of someone, and also been in my own hometown entertaining a guest of my own, I was reminded of the importance of sharing the experience of your town with out-of-town guests.
Make a list of 5 to 10 things that are key to really experiencing your town – things you can only do there, that you MUST do if you visit. Make sure the list includes a wide variety of things, so you can pull it out no matter who the guest is – from best place to eat to most wonderful outdoor activity, to most unique local store to visit or historical landmark you can’t miss.
