I wouldn’t exactly say there is a chill in the air but here in Georgia the humidity is way down + a few leaves have started to turn so I’d say we’re turning the corner on the seasons and looking ahead to some crisp autumn season.
Our Fall Recipes are up on the site now, so you can sink your teeth into some cozy, warming comfort food with flavors of the season, like the Homemade Apple Cider above, roasted okra, whole roasted chicken, or rustic apple tart. Check out the full Fall Recipe Index here.
Oh, and don’t forget that Sunday (9/13) is #nationalpeanutday so you know I’ll be celebrating with a batch of my Southern Boiled Peanuts – how about you?
This week has been full of “home” inspiration with the launch of the HGTV Urban Oasis Home and the Southern Living Idea Home in Asheville that drops in the October issue of Southern Living (stay tuned!) with some fabulous designer talents like Brian Patrick Flynn + Lauren Leiss. Be inspired by these homes. You can also check out some of my favorite home decor + design coffee table books, too!
Hint of Fall in the air? Cue the seasonal decor. Our Fall Gift Guide is also up on the site right now, perfect for making your home feel a bit more cozy as the cooler air sets in and families gather for feast.
Well no Fall season is complete without a few staple wardrobe pieces. Not surprisingly, I lean to classics over and over again. A few pairs of boots, a solid handbag or two, jeans galore, sweaters + cardigan, a field jacket and vest, and of course a few of my favorite trusty hats on repeat. See my picks for Fall Wardrobe Staples for your Capsule Wardrobe.
This week, our Weekly Giveaway is filled with a bit of being thankful for the season we are heading into. I can think of no better staple for a thankful season than our Adult Simple Blessings Amen Apron. Click here to enter to win one this week and tell your friends!
The winner of last weeks giveaway was Sara M. – congrats!
