I have stopped at roadside boiled peanut stands my entire life. There are a few key ones, on the way to the farm, at the mountains and on the way to the beach that I stop at rather religiously whenever I pass by. I remember the time I ate my very first boiled peanut, and continue to love watching those who have never tried one before give it a go for the very first time.
Good news is you don’t have to hunt down an older gentleman with a boiling pot of peanuts and a hand-painted sign on the side of the road, you can actually make up a batch that’s just as tasty for yourself at home.
Since it’s tailgate season, I’ve teamed up with the folks over at Kenmore to share an easy recipe for Slow Cooker Boiled Peanuts over on their site. It’s chalked full of yummy recipes, so pop over and get all the details for making your own.
