Collections are such a genuine way of gathering & displaying things that are meaningful to you.
I started my very first collection on a road trip to North Carolina. We travel there each summer to see our family. A long haul from Florida, we always took our time on the back roads, stopping at small towns & little shops along the way.
In an attempt to “capture” my trip, I searched hopelessly for an item that I could bring back home & proudly display as my travel trophy. Without too much thought, and with absolutely no significance, I decided to start my collection – thimbles.
The thimbles were easy. They were in every gift shop or antique store around, so no worry of not coming home without a treasure. I carried on this collection for quite a few years, and still have the stash somewhere.
