If there is one holiday I’m happy to celebrate it is most certainly National Biscuit Month each September. If you’ve been on our site for any tiny amount of time, you’ll know that I am a tremendous biscuit fan. I even designed a few pieces from our collection as an ode to the homemade, made-from-scratch biscuits that I grew up eating with my family, like our Ceramic Biscuit Cutter and our Buttermilk Biscuit Family Recipe Tea Towel.

Today we have teamed up with my friend Carrie Morey, the founder of Charleston-based Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, to celebrate the launch of a special cookbook Flour, Fat, Liquid, LoveThe book includes an ode to biscuits and top biscuit recipes by some of Carrie’s chef friends, business owners and other folks who have inspired her along the way and I am truly honored to be a part of this project.

In the cookbook, I’m sharing my stepmom’s recipe for her signature Buttermilk Biscuits, straight from here upbringing in small-town Kentucky. You can click here to download a copy for yourself and make a $1 (or more!) donation which will benefit some of their favorite charities. A win/win if you ask me!

And, if you’re looking for EVEN more biscuit inspiration then you can check out some of my favorite biscuit recipes here on the site, like 5 Ways to Enjoy a Biscuit, White Gravy, or Fig Jam. Love to know your favorite way to eat a biscuit and how you’re planning to celebrate National Biscuit Month.
