A timeless summer beverage staple is an ice-cold pitcher of fresh, hand-squeezed lemonade.
Fresh Squeezed Lemonade
With spring and summer come fresh fruits, and I couldn’t be happier about it. There is just so much you can do with fresh fruit, from fresh jams to desserts like this delicious strawberry shortcake, the options are endless. But I must say there is nothing quite like freshly squeezed juice.
Today I’m wanted to share my Grandma’s classic recipe for Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, right from the bundle of recipe cards I inherited from her. I was so thrilled to find this one. I make this lemonade week after week as my kids are constantly wanting to set up a lemonade stand outside. Adults and children on our street have come to love this lemonade and I love that they have their own entrepreneurial spirt.
I recently added this classic recipe to our Family Recipe Collection tea towels. The recipe is on a classic 100% white linen fabric. It is the perfect addition to freshen up your kitchen for summer.
I just so happened to be designing this new tea towel as we started launching our new candle collection. It only felt right to include a fresh lemonade scent in our spring line to really bring this story to life.
I would love to know what drinks get you by in the summer and if there is anything fun you like to add to lemonade to give it more flavor. I bet this Sweet Sun Tea might be on your list too. Let me know in the comments below!
