I love watching the Food Network, but imagine my surprise a few weeks back when I spotted one of my new heirloomed aprons pop up on the screen. In disbelief I hit rewind on the DVR and sure enough, there it was! Chef Damaris Phillips, the latest winner of Food Network Star was wearing the heirloomed Halter Apron on the trailer for her new show, Southern at Heart.
I absolutely love that she is celebrating the love of Southern food and spreading her Kentucky roots for all to see. In the second episode this morning, Damaris prepared a lovely Fall breakfast spread, including two of my favorites {quiche & granola} AND was wearing the apron during the whole episode – how exciting. She wears it so beautifully and couldn’t imagine a more wonderful, Southern model for the apron. She picked her apron up at a store we work with in Louisville, KY called The Urban Farmhouse Market, and was also kind enough to wear it for her cooking demos last week at the New York Food & Wine Festival.
