If you’ve been around here awhile, this may feel familiar. And that’s exactly the point.
This year marks 20 years of Heirloomed Collection, and as I’ve reflected on that milestone — on where we began and how we’ve grown — I realized something quietly obvious: our blog has always spoken to the old soul. I actually define our customer profile as not a demographic marked by figures like household income and age or gender, but instead by psychographic notions that are characteristic of one that is an old soul.
So today, I wanted to share something personal, and something official.
Our blog, formerly known as Heirloomed Blog, is now Old Soul.

Why Old Soul?
If you’ve ever been told you were “an old soul,” you know what it means without needing much explanation. Our content, our stories – they were written for you.
It’s an affinity for the timeless. A pull toward the familiar. A love of history, craftsmanship, and the stories behind the things we keep. It’s finding beauty in worn edges, handwritten recipes, old buildings and objects with patina that have lived a life before you found them.
For years, the content we’ve shared here — recipes, how-tos, deep dives into vintage topics like yellow ware and blue and white dishes, home interiors, family traditions, and thoughtful gift guides — has quietly spoken to that person. The one who prefers substance over trends. Meaning over momentary.
For our 20th anniversary, it felt like the right time to make it official.

The Heart of the Content Remains the Same
While the name has changed, the heart of what we share has not.
Old Soul will continue to be a place for:
-
timeless recipes and kitchen traditions
-
practical how-tos rooted in real life
-
thoughtful explorations of vintage and antique pieces
-
interior design inspired by history and lived-in beauty
-
stories about family, home, and meaningful living
-
curated gift guides that value sentiment over stuff
If anything, this name simply gives language to what has always been here.
If you’re curious, I’ve written before about this idea in more depth in a post called What It Means to Be an Old Soul — a piece that, in hindsight, feels like the beginning of this chapter.

A New Look, Rooted in Heritage
Along with the name, we’ve introduced heritage-inspired branding to accompany Old Soul.
Our crest and shield logo mark features an interlocking “OS,” a nod to the historical prominence of crests and family marks, but also to how interwoven this lifestyle truly is — the way food, home, history, family, and the objects we love all connect.
You’ll see it carried through in a soft olive and sage green palette, colors that feel grounded, patinaed, collected, and timeless.
In many of the images you’ll see here, I’m carrying a large boat and tote bag embroidered with the words Old Soul and our new OS crest on the reverse side — one that has quickly become my companion while vintage sourcing and antique shopping. It’s the bag I fill with old finds, small treasures, and pieces with stories to tell. In many ways, it’s a perfect symbol of Old Soul itself.

Twenty Years In
Twenty years into this business for Heirloomed Collection, I’m more certain than ever that what endures isn’t novelty — it’s meaning.
This blog began as a way to tell stories around our brand & product, but it has always been about more than content. It’s been about a way of living that values history, beauty, and intention. About slowing down just enough to appreciate where things came from, and why they matter.
If you’ve ever felt drawn to the “good old days,” to heirlooms and handwritten notes, to recipes passed down and objects worth keeping — you’ve always belonged here.
Now, we simply have a name for it.
Thank you for being part of this journey, and for being an old soul alongside me.
With gratitude,
Ashley
