I’m always on social media, Pinterest and watching the latest runway trends to stay ahead of what prints, patterns, products and silhouettes will be coming down the pipeline for our line. While I stay tried and true when it comes to living in the classics, the old saying “what’s old is new again” continues to hold true.
A classic trend that has been so hot in the farmhouse circuits and continues to stay strong is the Gingham trend. While sometimes reserved for a preppier look, the wide, buffalo check gingham in black and white has blown up in the home decor category – on everything from pillows to table linens to bedroom essentials to tile. And, classic style essentials in gingham, especially a smaller Carolina or 1/8” check variety, will continue to be a trend that just may never go out of style.
What I love most about gingham, much like a good stripe, is that it’s a pattern that adds such a layer of depth and dimension without being “too much” – which you know I appreciate. We designed our entire Picnic Gingham Collection around this notion and elevated the simple pattern by placing it on a 100% linen, which I love.
Here is a round up of some of my favorites out there right now, love to know what you’re seeing and some of your favorites too.
