The perfect savory, salty + sweet granola recipe that is rustic and hearty for topping yogurt at breakfast.
Classic Granola Recipe
I love simple classic recipes or ingredients that work to make other recipes. I was lucky enough to enjoy this yummy granola recipe at a marketing breakfast with my friend Liz many years ago and she was gracious enough to allow me to share it with you. While it is yummy by itself, it is also an ingredient in many other recipes or a great topping for yogurt, cereal, or any other quick snack. It also makes the perfect food gift.
I love using ingredients in my recipes that I can trust and know the history of. A brand I just love is Bob’s Red Mill. The founder is still working hard at his business even in his 90’s. I love supporting a “small” business that made it big time.

Granola is also so easy to make in a large batch to save for later. As a mom of three I am constantly looking for ways to make meal times easier – and this is one of them. It stores so well in a classic glass jar making it a great food gift as well. Perfect for a teacher present, a welcome gift to a new neighbor, or a yummy treat to a friend.
I also wanted to give you guys a sneak peak into our new collection. This post features the Grain Stripe Tea Towel and the Classic Bistro Apron in this new pattern. I just love the vintage-inspired look and can’t wait to share the full collection and story behind it with you.
On of my favorite ways to eat Granola is with some yummy yogurt topped with blueberries. It really is my favorite quick breakfast for spring. I’d love to know what you pair your granola with or any ingredients you have to add to it. Let me know in the comments below.
