Classic Granola Recipe

This classic granola recipe is so easy to make. It creates a wonderful snack or the perfect topping for your favorite breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (not quick cooking)
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • ½ cup shredded coconut (preferably unsweetened)
  • ¼ cup raw pumpkin or sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup toasted wheat germ
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup dried fruit (cranberries, cherries, raisins, currants)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°. Toss all ingredients except dried fruit in a large bowl and spread onto a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Bake, tossing once, until golden and crisp (about 25-30 minutes).
  3. Add the dried fruit and toss to combine. Let cool. Store in airtight container.
