Chicken and Waffles Recipe
With summer starting, I am always looking for fun and easy recipes to make with my kids that I know they’ll enjoy. Recently, we were brainstorming more recipes we could include in our Southern Kitchen Bucket List series and Heidi suggested a Chicken + Waffles recipe – but switching it up in the most fun way by serving the chicken strips in a waffle cone. I mean, how could you not just love these easy + fun family meals for a great on-the-go option.
Chicken Fingers Recipe
This combination of crispy chicken tenders and crunchy waffle cones allows us to have chicken and waffles in a matter of minutes. I also love how versatile this recipe is. Simply add syrup and powdered sugar for a breakfast version, or dip it in ketchup or mayo for a fun lunch or dinner idea. If you are in a bind and need this recipe really quickly, just pick up the chicken tenders or chicken fingers from your favorite local spot. If you have the time to make them though, there are a ton of great options.
For a classic crispy chicken tenders recipe try this version from Martha Stewart. If you want to go a little healthier, you can always try a baked chicken tender recipe.
