Vintage Inspired Plumbing Fixtures from Vintage Tub & Bath

A roundup of my favorite farmhouse + vintage inspired plumbing fixtures and vintage sinks from our friends at Vintage Tub + Bath. This is a sponsored post. This story is part of our Basement Renovation series, where we design + build out our modern farmhouse style basement for use with our young family and small business studio space in our home. Vintage Inspired Plumbing Fixtures from Vintage Tub & Bath

We are absolutely enjoying our new basement renovation and one of the design concepts I wanted to continue into the downstairs area was our focus on simplicity and craftsmanship charm. For that reason, we carried through the shiplap, added some more wooden detail to the ceiling and ensured all of our plumbing fixtures were vintage-inspired to really make the space feel not like a new build but instead like it had been there for decades. Mission accomplished.

For our basement project, we partnered with our friends at Vintage Tub & Bath to source some of our plumbing fixtures for the space. The are truly the absolute mecca when it comes to antique + vintage fixtures and all the details that help support that look in your home. I thought I would include a round up of the fixtures we used from their assortment, as well as some of my other favorites that are both timeless and on trend for you to use for your next project.

Our friends at Vintage Tube + Bath provided this simply amazing wall mount vessel sink for us, what a dream! You know I love using plumbing fixtures to really make a new space feel more aged and authentic so this site is an absolutely dream if you’re trying to accomplish this look. So many amazing options to choose from. This deep + heavy cast iron sink really set the whole inspired-look for this room. I was able to custom-select the paint color for the bottom of the basin (I went with SW Dove Grey here) so you can truly make your space feel so custom with all the color options you have. It would be so cute to tie in other elements of the room using the same paint color for a really unique and cohesive look. I used other grey elements in the lighting fixtures to tie it all in.

Another element I knew I wanted to continue from our upstairs was our large, single basin farmhouse sink. I love the look of the classic apron-front style and this one specifically was the perfect size and shape to pull off the neutral look I was trying to accomplish. I love how large and versatile this farmhouse-inspired style of sink is, especially in a space like this.

The Randolph Morris line on their site is their own private label brand and I must say it is SO worth sorting through. The quality is absolutely fantastic and the price point is too. So many great pieces here. I selected ours for the size ultimately, but here are a few that I REALLY wanted to go with had they worked for my space. The high back with the drain basin being #1 on my list, I know I’ll find somewhere to use it one day! Which is your favorite?

OK now here’s a little secret if you’re an antique + vintage lover too. The vessel mount sink should be your best friend and our most coveted item. If you truly want to create a custom look, source a chippy old piece of furniture, like an old table, stand or dresser and grab yourself a vessel mount sink and have your plumber install them for the most unique, custom look you can think of. Unfortunately Corona quarantine timing ruined my plans for sourcing an old fixture in our guest bathroom, but I still got to use the vessel mount we selected for a home run look that is clean + modern farmhouse to a tee. We added the wall mount faucet here to add an extra dimension of design.

You can truly get so creative with a vessel mount sink in our space and I love them most for a bathroom or powder room. Just be sure to get your height measurements right when you’re including an old base so that the finished, installed height of the top of the sink is perfect and useable. I cannot wait to see all the creative installs here.
