The apron that started it all is back …

Twenty years ago, the original IceMilk Apron launched our little business, landing in O, The Oprah Magazine @oprah and on The Martha Stewart Show @marthastewart @marthastewart48 .

You’ve been asking us to bring her back ever since, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate 20 years of Heirloomed.

A special small-batch release of our original IceMilk Apron is here, for a limited time only over on the site.

For generations in the kitchen. 🤍🫙

This month marks 20 years of Heirloomed. Twenty years. It’s hard for me to believe I’m even writing those words.

What began as a simple way to spend more time with my grandmother, inspired by memories of growing up in the kitchen learning family recipes, has grown into something I never could have imagined.

So much has changed in twenty years. I’ve changed, too. Different seasons of life, different versions of this business, lessons learned the hard way, and more late nights and leaps of faith than I could ever count.

But the heart of Heirloomed has never really changed.

I’ve always believed that the things we choose to keep, use and pass along tell a story about who we are. A well-loved apron, a handwritten recipe, the linens brought out for a family gathering. These ordinary things have a way of becoming extraordinary over time.

And perhaps that’s what makes this milestone so special. After twenty years, I still believe in this idea just as much as I did when I began. Maybe even more so today.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, but what means the most is knowing that pieces of Heirloomed have found their way into your homes, kitchens, celebrations and family traditions. That you’ve made us a small part of your story is something I’ll never take for granted.

Whether you’ve been here since the early days of IceMilk Aprons or only recently discovered Heirloomed, thank you. For every order, kind note, recommendation to a friend and memory shared along the way.

We have lots of special things planned this month to celebrate, and so many dreams for what’s still to come. But more than anything, I hope Heirloomed continues to remind us of the beauty in slowing down, gathering around the table and making memories with the people we love.

Here’s to twenty years of stories, traditions and beautiful things made to last. And to all the future family heirlooms still to come.

With much love and gratitude,
Xx Ashley
