THE PHOTO ABOVE WAS TAKEN AT OUR VERY FIRST PHOTOSHOOT BACK IN 2006. I HAD NO CLUE WHAT I WAS DOING OR WHAT THIS LITTLE IDEA COULD BECOME. MY GRANDMOTHER AND I HAD GOTTEN TO THE POINT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH DEMAND FOR OUR APRONS BY SEWING THEM OURSELVES AND I HAD JUST RECEIVED THESE APRON SAMPLES BACK FROM OUR VERY FIRST MANUFACTURING PARTNER. I SHOWED UP AT MY AUNTS CONDO, WHICH SHE GRACIOUSLY LET ME BORROW FOR THE SHOOT, TO MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHER WITH A BUNDLE OF PROPS IN HAND AND SOME FRESHLY IRONED APRONS.

18 YEARS LATER ...

WHAT I AM MOST PROUD OF IS THAT NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED. WE ARE STILL WORKING WITH THE VERY SAME MANUFACTURING TEAM WHO PRODUCED OUR ORIGINAL COLLECTION, BUT ON A MUCH LARGER SCALE. WE ARE ALSO STILL SHOOTING WITH THE VERY SAME PHOTOGRAPHER, HEIDI, WHO OVER THE YEARS HAS CAPTURED EVERYTHING FOR ME, BOTH PERSONALLY & PROFESSIONALLY. INCLUDING MY ENGAGEMENT, WEDDING, THREE NEWBORNS & FAMILY PHOTOS. SOME OF OUR VERY BEST SHOPS ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND SOME OF OUR VERY FAVORITE CUSTOMERS ARE STILL SUPPORTING US TODAY.

The collection gives a nod to the hues of the season, yet remains transitional enough to be perfect for every day, long past the holidays.

T O B A C C O : another color in our palette this fall season’s collection, perhaps the most prominent. A range of browns has always been a longtime favorite muse of mine … in style, home & design.

Tobacco is a rich brown and being a crop technically, gives it an earthy, organic and harvest nod for inspiration.

I have long loved traveling the roads of the Carolinas and spotting old tobacco barns scattered among the rolling hills and farmlands of these towns 🍂🍁

WESTERN CAROLINA needs our help ❤️ I’ve grow

WESTERN CAROLINA needs our help ❤️ I’ve grown up going to this part of the country since I was two years old. My family has had a cabin in these parts since I was young, I have many family members that live there still today in our small town of Burnsville. I’ve designed entire collections inspired by this region and their craft, vintage sourced here for as long as I can recall.

I was busy worrying about my other favorite places & people in the world (St George Island & Tallahassee) both in its path, but never could I have imagined what it would do so far inland to the mountains we love so much.

The destruction is incomprehensible, the need is truly greater than I can fathom. I’m so thankful that we finally made contact with my dad and all of our family there in town, they are safe but many are still awaiting word and I pray for them all, along with those on the rescue & aid teams serving this area. It is my hope we can help in a specific and meaningful way, in the meantime please help in any way you can to serve these efforts and these beautiful lands & people in their most immediate time of need.
