Description
This versatile syrup is the perfect way to utilize mint.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup mint
Instructions
- First, chop your mint coarsely. Bring sugar, water and chopped mint to a boil in a saucepan. Simmer for two minutes and then pour into a clear jar through a mesh sieve. Be sure to push on the mint leaves and any solids in order to wring out all liquid.
- You could really substitute any herb you might have growing in abundance, like rosemary or lavender. You can also make and keep a few small jars on hand in your refrigerator when your herb garden is at its peak. It’s a great way to preserve the flavor and also fills your house with the most wonderful aroma.
- Love to know some other ways you love to use herbs. #HEIRLOOMED
