Description

These melt-in-your-mouth cookies are a delicious treat for any time of the year.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix butter and sugar thoroughly. Work in flour with hands, and then chill the dough.
  2. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Roll chilled dough to between 1/3 and 1/2 inch thick. Cut into “fancy” shapes – I like to do stars. Flute edges if desired by pinching between fingers.
  4. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake 20 to 25 minutes. Note: the tops of the cookies will not brown during baking. Enjoy!
